Yep love the idea...
I think a good alternative would be sport blue with all the rest black.
Like the 100 year websited +4 but with full black interior.
Make the dash black too

Matt black with bright orange interior. Painted dash: Any type of wood anywhere near the dash will definitely give off the whiff of pipe and slippers, with the exception of obviously recycled pallets or heavy industrial packing cases.
Matt black wires if you have to but go for a solid alloys if possible.
There was a press 4/4 a few years ago with an urban graffiti custom paint job - Uber cool.
Sounds like an interesting spec you’re going for. Can’t wait to see the result

My only issue is the black paint...
I live in Geneva and 99% of cars are black or grey BMW, Audis and Mercs..
I need to find a colour
. Hi yellow is the way to go, everybody smiles and waves. Even di*k heads can see you coming ......I hope.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

I think all lies in the eye of the beholder: Some say wire wheels (ssteel) look modern and only painted alloys are the real old fashioned look. Some say Bumper are old fashioned Some say overriders are old fashioned Some say wire wheels (ssteel) look modern and only painted alloys or better steel wheels are the only old fashioned look. Some say chrome parts look bling.... I had a test drive in a black car with black wire wheels (for me) it looked „boringly“ not as happy as a Morgan is… Some say (not only Henry Ford) a car hast o beb lack. Some say black is too modern, most actual cars are black… An important question is: Form over function?? I was searching for a car with easy up Hood, because I wanted a quick solution (a quick closed Hood) in the rain. If you live in the south....... I think you and your taste hast o decide! Have a Look at all the thousands of pictures in the web. Good luck!

Gloss black paint with black pack (no chrome or polished ally), Black leather interior, black mohair weather equipment carbon dash backing, no wing lights, no bumpers or overriders, black alloy wheels, no spare, no rack. Matt black racing roundels on the doors and boot. No strap.
So is the result contemporary...or black?

A mix of both styles?
Discrete modern or classic features in whatever mix you fancy.
A rollbar will add the sporty impression with roundels too.
Careful though....personally I would decide on modern as a base with a wooden dash and retro style gauges,easily detachable luggage rack, tonneau cover for better roof down driving, wire wheels.
Rather than spend on the bling items I would look to driving/performance enhancements as better value for money.
I would want to drive the car not polish and store it so the (to me) vanity extras are a no-go.
You will no doubt learn what extras to add after a period of ownership and these can be added as you wish. A windstopper is one such extra that might appeal.
Also think of your clothing.
Full flying jacket is a real warm unit if you like open top winter drives but can be bulky. It adds to the classic look too. Lighter weight wind/rain proof is a good idea
Take the time before finalising your spec to investigate.
Go to your local noggins to see cars and get a feel for the social side.
Remember too who your passenger will be!! Ask her for her input. VERY important to get her on board.
I agree. Brakes, Suspension, Comfortable seats, Bimini Top, Gauges I can see and read, I must have a spare tire, sturdy luggage rack, I like leather, but not factory leather (Tack shop Leather), Leather coat but not too heavy, (Flight Jacket Leather is too heavy/hot IMO), Top of the line Tires (Tyres). My Morgans look like they have been driven. Not "Show Queens" and whata ya know. At a Car Show they are all looking at My Morgan and asking questions. I once drove from Sun Valley, Idaho to a car show at Whistler Ski Resort, British Columbia on back roads. I was the STAR of the show and I did not wash it prior to the event.

I do like the grey paint black wires and tan interior,it looks retro and modern at the same time. Of course a tan sheepskin bonnet belt will give you at least 20 extra bhp.

Well I have a bit of a poverty spec plus 4 sport in sports grey with black wires and black grill. No bumpers or over riders. Painted dash. Loads of people come up to me and say how lovely and unusual the colour is... and that it's nice to see compared to the more usual brg or cream. Its got a mean look that I rather like. The black wires also mean I don't have to do much cleaning.
