I took these photos earlier........and they show the tight clearance mentioned above. A Panhard rod could be made to fit, but will be very close to the diff cover and tank. Note that the metal framed cradle arrangement was fitted to my 2012 Morgan, but the tank on the 2016 protrudes further forward than 2012. The 2005 arrangement is totally different with loads of space and I'll be fitting a Panhard Rod to my Roadster as soon as I get enough time!!    The panhard rod doesn't get anywhere near as high as the diff cover, so clearance isn't an issue. The panhard rod kit is bolted to the lower return on the chassis, and sits below the leaf springs Simon @ SiFab.co.uk So when are you going to make one Simon?

On the subject of SSL front suspension, I think it is important to know what the current factory front suspension set up is on the new 4/4. I don't know but the question needs asking.
If the factory is still setting the front end up with the rebound springs preloaded then I would say don't waste your time with the standard set up. It's much too harsh and I can almost guarantee you won't like it. Then I would suggest going straight for the SSL front end.
If the factory are now setting the front end up with the rebound springs just kissing the hub then it will probably be quite good out of the box but check it first or wait for someone on here who knows the current standard set up to confirm either way.
I might be out of date with my understanding of the standard factory setup so I'll learn something as well.

Heinz, what sort of bad experience did you have with your Roadster, what model was it and what was the issue with angles?
I am well familiar with how a PR works and how it is supposed to be mounted.
Robbie, the idea of the angle of the PR was just a guess. I'm a layman in that area. But the effect of PR was negative. I let make two changes at the same time, put in the PR and also a second anti tramp bar. Because it was a roadster sport of 2010, and that had only one anti trump bar. The second ATB was advantageous, the car accelerated more straight ahead because now both springs were blocked from twisting. But the PR caused small but uncomfortable hard side shocks that had put a strain on my back. My wife also complained. Shock absorbers and springs were not changed. Maybe the PR would have needed a different tuning, may be that the second ATB made the axle so stiff that the movement of the PR was forced or handicapped. After two weeks it had been removed again. As already said in the P4SS the PR was no problem and the traction was very good.

Bit difficult when I'm in the middle of a tour Dave.
The one I was looking at today, the fuel tank is I think bolted to the wood floorboards. There is a flange at each side of the tank at the bottom, sticks out each side, through which the bolts go.

That's right Graham - but the floorboards sit in an angle iron cradle which is 'sort of' hinged to the chassis.

That is what I think too, but I am not sure. I am pleased with the non-adjustable Suplex/Bilsteins on the front of my 4/4. If the car were to be used for track days, then adjustable dampers would obviously be a good idea. But I would not choose a 4/4 as a track-day car!
