Did you make that dashboard yourself?

Very retro and superbly executed. The steering wheel boss is different, I guess you had it custom made.

One thing I notice is that you don't seem to have many switches.

Yes the Dashboard is my own design and the Steering Wheel centre button I made and had engraved.
There is the same amount of switch functions on the Dashboard as the original with the inclusion of a push button start. The four position rotary light switch replaces the Spot and Light switch, together with the Hazard switch being replaced by a button mounted centrally between the Tacho and Speedo

The screen vents are there as well, but until it's apart, I can't work out the max height. I would like them to be level with two main clocks

The Heater Vents should not not be an issue as long as the minor clocks are not spanned too wide and to help with alignment of the clocks you can always spread and lower the Tacho and Speedo slightly as I have done

My 4/4 didn’t have the factory fitted clock, Its a stuck on job with a battery, it was already in the car when I purchased it. I changed the battery when it stopped working, and cut a long story short, it fell apart.

I bought another one (£35.00) so it would go into the existing circular surround (because it’s well and truly stuck on)

However, it’s stopped working again, so I was thinking this time of purchasing one of Cains (Wolf) Swiss clocks on the single mounting plate. I think they look really good on black dash boards, but not so sure on mine being a sand colour. I know it’s personal opinion but I don’t want to spoil my dash....even though it has some black on it ....

I’m also halving difficulty removing the old clock, I’ve tried prising it off slowly but it’s just not coming away. I’m afraid it will break the wood dash if I pull it too hard.

I might try some fishing wire behind it. Any advice is appreciated, including replacing clock

Craig, if you manage to peel off the old one and there's a bit of surface damage you could order the proper factory clock, hole saw the hole and drop the 'proper' clock in

Worked well for me with an early Roadster, the power supply is already there tucked up behind the dash

Your dash will be plastic Craig, I would very gently warm the area with a heat gun and then try the fishing line behind it.

Naa, its painted marine ply, seen 'em in the paint shop, that's why they match the body colour
