Not a very exciting race in my opinion and in the last 10 laps, it was clear that overtaking remains a problem.

i think its been a more exciting season this year, not just a two horse race both from the same stable and has come along way in terms of overtaking, but that said there are still too many processional races where you may as well switch off after the pit stop as that will be the finishing result.
Nice to see Kimi get a victory, but it was lost by Mercedes and had Vettel not spun could have been a win.
This will probably be the last season of F1 I watch for two reasons. Firstly I refuse to pay the extortionate rate of a subscription to a provider and on top of that the pay per race to view, and secondly, having just bought a Morgan, if the sun is out I can't see myself sitting inside watching tv.

Most races are just a procession & not worth 2 hours of my time. I would not pay to watch & record it off free to air Channel 4. Play most of it at double speed. I think races would be better if the tyres had to last a full race.

Kimi won that by making his tyres last, twice. First off, taking his ultras so far, (beyond the window which Pirelli indicated was likely) which led Mercedes to give up track position. Taking a tyre change under a safety car is normally a smart move. It could've gone either way, but the Merc looked to be harder on its tyres than Red Bull & Ferrari.

& Max is turning into an awesome all round driver - if that Honda engine is as good as it looks, then finally we'll be back to having a 6 car fight at races. It feels like Honda are maxing out their engine development right now, and sacrificing Torro Rosso races to learning that they'll apply to Red Bull's engines next year.

The Renault engine is looking promising for next year too - Verstappen's Red Bull didn't get monstered by Lewis in a straight line. If Renault can give their excellent drivers a chassis, then they'll pick up points from any mistakes the top 3 teams make.

Just a pity that with the paywall I won't be watching any of this live (for the first time since my teens)...

Yes, I'm here, the Ferrari nut. I'm like a stick of rock, cut me in half and it will say Ferrari.
Having said that, once again Seb was the master of his own downfall starting with the red flag incident in free practice which gave him a 3 place grid penalty.
Then there was the tiny bit of oversteer on the last corner of the final session in Q3 leaving him thousands of a second off pole.
W then saw the repeat of Singapore, Monza and others I can't bear to think about.
Hamilton deserves to be the champ this year ( crikey you can't imagine how hard that was to say ) so it's all down to a 3 pin reset for next year although Mexico should be good next week.

I really thought Vettel had a good chance of winning it until the Riccardo racing incident the Ferrari team seem to have added something to good effect on the speed side of things.
This could be a close call for Lewis to secure the title in Mexico.

I am surprised no one has said it was rigged so Lewis did not close the title prior to the end of the year! (I don't believe that btw)

I think Wills comment re the tyre strategy for Kimi is a big element of it. The track remains another monosyllabic Herman Tilke special with little in the way of real risk. Most of the passing was by people getting out of the way of the clearly faster lead teams.

It was nice to see the three teams in close proximity and changing places in terms of pace.

I am also following the 2nd tier closely as I have always followed Jordan/Force India/what they are called today. After going bust and having all their team points removed they now have a strong position again. It will be interesting to see where they would have finished if all the points were combined. They are a lovely group of people at the factory and considering the pressure on them this year have done great work.

I would say that Lewis has been driving brilliantly this year. He has clearly matured well in the last few years. I see him wanting to set a new record for championships (8?) and then retiring. I think Nico set a bit of a precedent there which could be good for bringing up more new drivers.

I cannot say how sad I am for Williams at present.

There are still 3 races to go anyway so it will be pretty miraculous if it goes down to Abu Dhabi

If it does, I and many will think it’s fixed

Its a real shame,I hoped they would have given Kubica a go but I think the deal with Ocon is done with Williams and daddy Mercedes for 2019. He also deserves a ride there are much less talented drivers on the grid but then money talks .
