It was over in Ireland four years ago because it was brought over and on display at the NEC Classic Show when the Wheeler Dealers did a presentation.

Apparently it was voted the second most popular episode

Didn't show them fitting the crosshead to the chassis for a start. Most fundamental part of any chassis change. Get that out of line and it just won't handle right!

I was told by "sources close to the dealer in qustion" that the car had had vast amounts of work done by another dealer but that the owner had not allowed the previous dealer to do all the proper repairs to chasis etc. So, whilst it was rotten, it was a very good car mechanically. The dealer who then took it in p/x sold it to w dealers and then bought it back. It was then sold without anything else particular done as a very good car.
Just what I heard, but I did hear it from a top source.

I enjoyed watching the episode.
What needs to be remembered though is that the episodes will be structured for TV. Hence a lot of editing and behind the scenes stuff to produce the desired end result.
In general WD do a decent job but little things make me smile......
Seeing rusted bolts/fittings put back on M8ke Brewer’s “ top dollar car” for instance.
The newer series with Ant Anstead targeting the US is clearly structured to expand the brand but still interesting in parts.

As an American, when Edd left so did I. I hate when they "Americanize" read: dumb down, my fine british programming. When they put american presenters on Top Gear, im out. And Ametican Top Gear. I think i made it 20 minutes into episode 1, never to return.
And now what the devil have they done to Doctor Who?
