Guys on the M3W, is there anyway you can get the Engine Management light fault code to read on the dash display or do you need a CAN bus reader?

You need a windows laptop with ProTune II and a lead to plug it into the mobile phone type socket under the cover on the ECU.

The 16 pin connectors are used on car OBD-II systems, its a mini USB on the S & S, M3W as shown below once cover removed.

Adding an OBCD port is one of the Euro 4 "upgrades"

Somewhere in the S&S documentation there are instrustions fopr reading the codes via the instrument panel but they don't work on the M3W.

Si it's the old laptop and Protune I'm afraid Mark (or just wait until it goes out again.....)

One other thought,

As the fuel has been sitting in the tank for a couple of months it might have gone off a bit which could trigger a lambda sensor warning.

Filling up with super might help blow the light out.
