Raceglaze polish works very well and is so easy to use that a power polisher is not needed!!

Is it a polish or is it a wax?

If it’s a polish then I think a mechanical polisher with good technique will always achieve better results than by hand as your arm will fall off if you try to replicate the number of revolutions required to make a difference over a whole car

Waxes can be applied mechanically with a buffing machine rather than a rotary polisher but having tried it, I think waxes are always better hand applied because you can control the thickness easier and buffing off is a breeze and requires constantly turning a cloth which if you are using a pad on a buffer needs to be constantly changed so is a real pain

If you want a proper polish or paint improvement then the power tool is almost a must. Hand polish is ok for topping up an already good finish.
I agree re waxing....I smear it over my hands and apply without a pad/cloth. That leaves a good thin coat to buff off. I buff it by hand with frequent cloth turns/replacements, finishing with a fresh microfibre cloth.
For occasional intermediate finishing I use Autofinesse Triple. Quick detailer also after a wash.
Wipe on.....wipe off.

No I didn't.

I didn't see any really special deals and having spent a bit of time chatting to one the Meguiars advisors I'm re-thinking whether to go with the DAS-6 or push the boat out and get the MT320.

No urgency now, I've got the cylinder head off now so I'll finish the engine work first, then the Electrics / Dashboard. Then the body work.

I bought my DASPro via Detailingworld website. Someone on there was giving a discount to site users. It was about 5/6 years ago so maybe not still on offer. It came with a nice bag, tools, backing plate etc.
