I vote for chrome on light colours too. Black works better on darker colours in my view.

Keep them both and swap around from time to time (sorry Stu). To start with I was going to say that I liked the contrast between the sand and the black, but then seeing the chrome ones, they match the grill and spinners rather well. Both look great.
As Steve says, it's a very close call.

100% definitely have headlight surrounds, oh sorry I missed the question. Why be boring, spray the black ones yellow or red, anything is better than black IMHO!

The black one's pick up the mounts on the indicators nicely.

FWIW I'm having rad grill, headlamp rims and all four overriders powder coated silk black as we speak. The headlamp look won't be so extreme on a red car and having seen this one, the grill looks so right to me, further enhanced by the contrasting stainless mesh behind that mine will retain.

I've got Black surrounds on mine, looks great on a Black car but on yours it looks like a Panda  stick with the chrome.

Craig, I hope you were using a wide angle lens, otherwise the extension where the MINI is parked looks awfully like it is about to keel over
