Has anyone taken the drastic step of replacing the whole leather interior and if so who did the work and what was the approximate cost?
I have replaced and renewed so much on my 1993 Plus 4 that I am considering a new interior to really finish the job.

A mate has just re-trimmed an E-Type in full leather etc.
That was over £6K..not sure where he had it done.
Honesty means doing it right, even when no one is looking!

Have you considered Gliptone Gary, its amazing stuff and you do not have to strip out the glued in tricky bits, save yourself a fortune, unless of course the leather is ripped. Does not leave brush marks and for larger areas use a sponge and most Morgan colours are available or can be matched. I did my 93 +4 about 5 years ago, still looks good. All the original leather grain remains and you would be hard pushed to realise its been restored. regards John k

My memory isn't what is used to be , but I seem to remember a friend picking up a complete set of leather for a +8 DIY re-trim for about £2500 from Allon White. That was a few years ago mind.
I would hesitate to recommend the diy approach as Morgans are such individual cars and I would have concerns that a "standard" measurements kit would look as good as one that was "made to measure" and fitted by a skilled craftsman.

It is usually not just the leather, but also the foam etc. It was done on my four-seater a couple of years ago in The Netherlands just at a recommended trimmer who does new cars and old projects too! Don't know how much it was, because we did some other things too, but a think about 3000-4000 euro's. It was a combined effort with my Morgan agent.

Allon White have a well respected trim shop and are currently quoting £4325 on their website but sometimes have deals at this time of year.
Have a look at leather restorers first, they can sometimes work wonders with jaded leather.
I have seen some examples but can't for the life of me remember names.

If the seats are ok and it’s just the leather surface you can have them re-connellised which is a spray paint surface treatment.
Basically they sand the surface, fill some cracks, then spray the colour and top coat colours back on. I had it done on a Porsche by a company called damage undone near Chippenham and very pleased with the results. They have some videos and pictures of the process on their website.
Cost was under a thousand for all the interior but all parts supplied stripped. They can do parts in situ too. Colour is matched with a fancy scanner to a part that’s original or you can pick new colour if preferred.

That's an interesting system I'd not heard of that being done in situ.
