NO!! Marvel Mystery Oil is not a lubricant!
The active ingredient in Marvel Mystery Oil is oil of wintergreen. It's a serious solvent. It's used in old carbureted engine to help break up carbon deposits, particularly valve stems. My sailboat has an Atomic 4 engine. I add the Marvel Mystery Oil to the oil once in a while.
I don't use TufOil in my boat engine, as much as I would like to, because the clutch in the transmission is bathed in engine oil. If I used the TufOil, the clutch would slip.
Never use TufOil in any engine with a wet clutch, I guarantee that the clutch will slip. TufOil is too slippery for any wet clutch application.
Sniff the Marvel Mystery Oil, you can smell the oil of wintergreen.

Thanks for the explanation.
TufOil uses teflon lubrication I have also seen ArchOil which uses nanoborate lubrication. Of course as with everything there are conflicting views as to the use of TufOil because of the teflon. What is the view on nanoborates?

I cannot comment on nanoborates lubrication...don't know anything about it. There is more to TufOil than the Teflon particles. There is a lot of fancy chemistry that is a closely held secret..that they will not discuss. I fully endorse TufOil because I have seen the dozens of tests, from independent labs, of various oils using the industry standard "4 ball wear test". See this temperature rise chart for various oils during a 4 ball test: https://www.fluoramics.com/tufoil/tufoil-technology/

Beautiful and warm day in NJ on Saturday, so took the M3W out for a nice long drive. I'd have to say the Redline oil change made a noticeable difference in the BB scream. I didn't run the sound meter test again, but it's certainly different - and toward the better side of different.
If you're due for a change anyway, I'd give it a go for sure.

Thanks for the feedback on the Redline 80W-250. A few of us in the UK have some on its way at the moment. Any reduction in BB noise will be very welcome. Soundproofing (Dynamat) the rear bulkhead and floor seems to have made a worthwhile reduction as well.

I think Emil has run a temp gauge off his bevel box. I wonder what temps he finds it runs?
