Hi all

I write to ask for some guidance please on the best place/best practice for locating a trolley jack as I need to remove a front wheel on my Aero S1

Depends how low/long your jack is....
I jack from the middle of the crossmember between the front wishbones
Alternatively jack a side up from the chassis leg near the bulkhead

Drive the car onto some blocks to get some space under for the jack.

And loosen the wheel nut before jacking the car up

Sounds like you have not taken a wheel off on a S1. Make a note of how far in the grub screw is before you remove it.
This is to ensure the grub screw goes right back into the slot in the hub. If you have under torqued and the pesky thing is not in fully these wheels are known to depart. I have the "T" shirt.

Thanks for all the advice & help, wheel now off, & front wing removed to fit a new oxygen sensor.
Can't believe the torque needed to undo the wheel, had to use a length of wood wedged in place to keep the brake pedal applied to prevent the wheel breaking traction under the torque.
Then I placed a length of wood between the trolley jack & the cross member to ensure load was evenly spread.
I also applied some white paint to the hub slot for the grub screw so that I can see the slot through the grub screw hole to ensure alignment when refitting.
