What was the negative comment?

I'd like to know for two reasons:

a) I think Dave's book is very good.
b) I know how hard it is to put a book together.

Whoever it was, just tell them to naff off, Dave.

Have a look on Amazon feedback. It stands out as being out of line with all the rest. Someone else put excellent but two stars.......very odd.

It's easy being a critic. As you've said in the past, try writing one! grin2

Hang on, surely the right to criticise comes under freedom of speech?

Just because somebody doesn't like something and has said so, do they need to be subject to ridicule on this page? It's a personal opinion, nothing more nothing less.

Arwyn

But if the right to criticise comes under 'Freedom of Speech', then surely so too does the right to ridicule?

I agree with Arwyn on this one. All the Negative comment did was to get Me enough interested and see for myself if it was so. I determined that it was not and in fact became more impressed by Dave W's efforts. Don't shoot the Messenger!

Well I think Dave's book does this. But it is not a:
1. Jack up the Morgan - Be sure to use Jack Stands
2. Clean the zerk fittings with solvent - A zerk fitting is used to fit the grease gun etc. etc. etc.

Dave treats His readers as though they have some iota of intelligence and experience. He wrote as He saw and experienced His Morgans. I think that was the charm of His book. The pictures were excellent and at least I could understand what He was getting at. I tried to focus on what I liked about His book not what I did not like. Sort of the Glass Half Full not the Glass half empty.
