King pin inclination is the angle of the king pin as seen from the front of the car whereas the castor angle is the angle of the king pin as seen from the side of the car.

On my 1999 4/4 the angles are as follows. (according to the book but I'm going to check them)

Castor... 4 degrees
Camber... Upright to 0.5 degree negative
King pin inclination... 2 degrees
Toe in... 0 to 3.2mm

No saying the +8 is the same but this gives a guide to the sort of numbers to expect.

Yes I suspect it is the same but I wonder. Also I would think camber and KP inclination would be the same. So do You know what camber is?

Camber and KPI will not be the same.

The camber is the angle of the wheel and tyre as seen from the front of the car whereas KPI is the angle of the king pin as seen from the front.

In theory they could be the same but in reality, on road cars the KPI will be more than the camber.

This is achieved by not having the stub axle at 90 degrees to the king pin.

So if the KPI is 2 degrees and the camber is 0 it means the stub axle is at 88 degrees to the king pin .(Or 92 degrees depending on which way you took at it)

Left Right
Camber -.1 -.1
Caster 2.6 3.4
Toe .04 .05
SAI 4.0 4.0
Included Angle 3.9 3.8

I have no idea what SAI is or Included Angle

I have no idea what SAI or included angle are.

SimonH might have an Idea if he sees this.

I think castor looks a bit low but if it works on your car....

Ah found it.

Check this out

SAI angle

Looks like its an American way of writing it. I.e. SAI is KPI.

No it does not work for Me. But I am trying to figure out if it is alignment, bump steer or what ever. Probably a combination. I am trying to start out at square ONE. I have put up with this long enough.

Button, whilst at the Factory today, I specifically asked Mark Baldwin (very knowledgeable & exceedingly helpful with a few snagging issues with mine)

This is how they aim to set up a 'road car' rtm

Camber, 1/4 to 1/2 degree negative, & he feels over the 1/2 would be to much for road use

Caster, same as King Pin inclination, they set up at chassis build by tilting the crosshead to 5-6mm from vertical

Tracking, 3mm toe in

What a brilliant place this is. This exchange demonstrates all the best things about Morgan kinship and this site in particular.
