I'm not talking washing the Morgan now, but does anyone have any thoughts on pressure washing cars using a snow foam 'pre-wash'..? I've always thought it may be a bit of a gimmick, but it's a gimmick that's lasting if it is, or is it a worthwhile proper wash stage..?
I know it's a Man thing, too..
Just that with Black Friday deals, I'm a teeny bit tempted. Not for the Morgan, as i say.
Anyone..?

Don't pressure wash it...............
You'll get water where you don't want it.

I've used snow foam a couple of times, I think to get the best out of it you need a proper attachment for a pressure washer, I just used a hand-pump pressuriser.
As for washing cars with pressure washers, I think the problem that people have sometimes is that they get a bit too close, the pressure drops off extremely quickly with distance

Yes it works well as a pre wash. It will take the effort out of the hand wash.
You do need the special attachment for you brand of pressure washer. This also drops the power of the lance so it is not as bad as outlined but do go carefully.
I use it (when I use it if you know what I mean!) happily just stand a bit further back. I currently use the Autoglym due to availability but many of them seem to get good feedback.
If you see a good offer do share as you get through a good bit of it.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Waste of time IMHO plus leaves deposits of what ever the brighting compound is all over your drive/road
It doesn't cling all that much to the surface film softening it as they make out, note normally demo is done on a not really road trafficked dirty car, they probably spray the cars with some dirty water and leave to dry, Cynical me?

I have tried it - looked very impressive to have foam everywhere but alas its not that effective at removing anything. Can't hurt however ( unless you let it dry on before rinsing off!) and its likely quite fun to do at first. Pre-wash with a hose or pressure washer is just as effective in my experience - then a 2 bucket wash.

Totally agree with a couple of comments regarding snow foam
Can’t do any harm but pretty inaffective and reduculously messy
It’s completely overhyped with a bit of ‘emperors new clothes’
My eldest persuaded me to use it on the Morgan last spring, it was hilarious seeing a totally white foam Mog so great for entertainment value but not very clean at the end if it
Has to rewash with a hand mit in the good ole fashioned way

Thanks for the feedback, chaps. I think the 'faff' factor of getting one unravelled, hooked up and plugged in, along with the mess afterwards means that the answer will be a no. Nowt wrong with a hose and two buckets..
