Heinz it looks good on your car. I'm a Rimowa fan too as I like their aviation inspiration i.e. the corrugated aluminium Junckers aircraft of the 1920s. They're light, strong and stylish.

Apologies for the thread drift..

I found this 1960s case to suit my 60s Morgan i.e. battered and well-travelled. New Rimowa are fiercely expensive but I bought this from a student selling his grandfather's stuff to fund his education. He seemed surprised when I didn't try to beat him down on price. It's the right size for us and doesn't block the rear view. Aluminium and Morgans go together. I sometimes tell people it's made from recycled Junckers but that's a fib. Stop me if I've told this story before...

Forgot to add earlier....we use a Bootbag. A waterproof soft bag designed for cars. It has integral straps. It carries plenty for weekends and sits low so rear view is not blocked. If more luggage needed we put bags on the shelf behind the seats. The only criticism is it needed press studs to hold the zip cover down to aid waterproofing asthe zip is the weak spot. We sometimes put black bags over it too for exteawaterproofing Insurance. No issues with wet clothes providedthe press studs don’t pop!

There does seem to be verity of different racks for sale. Some sit lower than others, this helps with rear visibility.

We now have a Heart of England Morgans Low Line rack for long distance touring when we tend not to need the side screen stowage. Makes a huge difference to rear visibility. The rack with side screen stowage now sits in the garage and I swap them over if needed. The low line rack has the mounting system for Givi Panniers installed on it.

I have a Morgan-like suitcase and waterproof cover minus the wings logo if anyone is interested. There is also a small foldup wheeled trolley for it.

Could we also have some advice on the maximum weight we should carry on a luggage rack please? It must be an issue for the strength of the fixing points and also for the car's handling with so much weight hanging aft of the rear axle.
