found this browsing on Ebay. Aero 8 race car with over 40 k spent but now selling for 27k to cut loses. Would make a great project for the well healed on here and wanting a very special type of car.Maybe could be converted to a road car? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200557661190
If you are doing nothing, how do you know when you are finished?

An expensive project to complete and I cannot see the completed car being worth close to an original Aero 8 mark 1.

This has been up for sale, over and over again.

I'd struggle to want to pay even £17,000 for that.
Racing cars gain provenance from use and more importantly wins. This in turn adds value. At the moment, this is a bitsa project and therefore, the 'value' is in the parts and the potential. To reach any potential, large sums of money will need to be spent.
Therefore, at the moment, this is a project and while it could be used as a track/some kind of race car, it would end up being exorbitantly expensive. The owner will need to find someone who wants to take a niche appeal project on and those chances - imho - are slim anywhere near the price point he wants.
