Getting close!!!!!! Actually Peter, is that your Motor on the ramp in Melv's workshop???? Think its a +4 that Melvyn had up for sale or maybe still is, I believe in Mexico blue, it has a legal rear number plate too ...

OK the connection is; I drove all the way from Germany to attend Brooklands Morgan Day (& didn't see anyone else from Germany, only left hooker was from Belgium!!!), The previous Thursday I took "Moggie" to Melvyn Rutter for the yearly service & when I asked what could I do in 3-4 hours whilst it was being done the mechanic offered to drive me to 'Stortford. (as the locals call it).
I walked thru' the highstreet in Bishop's & at the top of the hill (the posh end), I decided to have a "Full English" at a swanky restaurant. (Cote Brasserie)
As I was about to go in a new Range Rover pulled up & out got Sir Rod, Lady Penny & Mutt!!!!!!
(Never thought I'd see anyone famous on my trip to England!!!!)
(Although I did see Ed China last year at Goodwood)

(Although I did see Ed China last year at Goodwood) Not sure I'd call Cote "swanky": they do excellent food at sensible prices. Here in Salisbury the full English, with fruit juice and Coffee is £10:50. Cote is one of our regular places, along with Zizzi for Italian.

There is a very nice Cote Brasserie in Exeter in the Cathedral Sq & one in Amersham old town. As a chain they do good French style food at reasonable prices.
