Hi guys, no longer a Morgan owner as you know but thought I'd nip back on here to ask the question as I know you like your badges uk

So a mate of mine on the Lotus forum posted this pic on behalf of a friend, just a shame the pic is blurred.

He's asking if anyone knows what the badge is? It came on the badge bar of an early sixties Mk2 Jaguar along with RAC and other well known emblems.
As expected the Lotus lads have drawn a blank so far. Anyone here recognise it?

Many thanks guys....I shall mention you in dispatches if you get it thumbs

Google shows a few horse shoe emblems Dave but I wonder if that thing in the middle is supposed to represent a caravan? I'm assured nothing has broken off it and it does look quite old. Thanks for that, I'll run that thought past him. Cheers. thumbs

The thing in the middle is like a bridge. I've not seen anything like that before.

It doesn’t look like a horseshoe despite the shape. As DaveW says possibly a bridge in the middle. It suggests Japanese/Chinese to me as the bridge part looks similar to structuresfrom there.

It’s only a guess as it’s a bit strange

Is it a very stylised anvil in a horseshoe

Something to do with Gretna Green or a blacksmiths guild or possibly a car rally to Gretna or a good luck charm

There were quite a few crude horseshoe shaped car badges and radiator cap emblems on vintage cars that were popular for luck
