Just bought these plastic ramps on eBay. Designed specifically for low sports cars to allow trolley jack to be inserted. I have two but three ton professional one is difficult to use on front and impossible on rear without raising car some way first. Raising front makes greasing king pins easier and you get to feel any steering stiffness.

Thank for all the replies, very helpful.
I think I’ll be going for the remote kit, will get Oakmere to fit it as by the time I’ve bought the right sized drill bit, broken it, replaced it, recharged the drill, knocked tea into the engine bay and so on the charge made by Oakmere will be money well spent.
Points re wiping excess grease off and not ignoring the need for ongoing fettling are duly noted and much appreciated.
I have some ramps, and a trolley jack, having run other classics in the past (1948 Daimler DB18, chrome bumper MGB) as well as a couple of more modern Defenders so I’m familiar with skinnned knuckles, things that should move being stuck fast, things that should be stuck fast flapping around in the breeze and so on...but have got a bit out of the habit in recent years.

The other day I replaced the King Pins and Bushes for a Friend. I was with Her when She took delivery of a new 2000 +8. As She lives in Sun Valley, Idaho, a first class Ski Resort, I and My Daughter were guests during Ski Season. There was 50,000 Miles on Her +8. King Pins and bushes had never been replaced. I asked Her if She greased them during Her trips. "Heavens No!". "You know I have a Mechanic that takes care of My Morgan". I called the Mechanic asked Him what grease He used? Molley" I was curious because, although I changed the pins/bushes there was about 20,000 miles left. As I had the +8 on a lift in a Private Garage with tools and expert help, I changed them anyway. Mild Steel Pins. It makes Me wonder if We are a bit anal about greasing these things.

Well I would never grease my pins when touring. I'm quite satisfied that in that scenario I could go 1500 miles with insignificant consequences, but obviously starting out with a full grease!

I had hard chrome kingpins already on my car when bought. No notes on fitting in the service history so no mileage accurately known. I have done 30k+ miles with greasing before each weekend trip and other greasing at under 1k mileages and no signs of play to date.

I would not bother with remote greasing kit untill I saw that direct greasing was a real problem. If so, possibly yes - fitted by a dealer or DIY according to skill. You need a good grease gun anyway, and with that and 45 degrees angled nipples (botttom )and extended nipples (top) greasing is done in five to ten minutes. And you are forced underneath, to clean the discs and then check this and that. Knowing my own weakness (and wondering about other people's) I suspect that with a remote kit I would be tempted to just grease from above, and leave it like that. Greasing on tour I do not think ever I would do, for the reasons listed above by DaveW. Why not wait and see if you like the greasing system and little ritual as it is? If you decide that you do not like it and feels a persistent need to change, then go for it.
