Apologies if this has been done to death but what tyre pressure do people run on recent +8s? I'm new to the +8 and I've been using it at 2.2 bar (32 psi) since I collected it from Krazy Horse in the summer. The car is on 245/40 R18 Yokohama Advans and ride comfort was not too bad so I've only now got round to checking it (I know I know .. probably should have done it before..)
The manual says 25 psi (1.7 bar) but presumably it was set at 32 psi for a reason. 32 psi strikes me as high (low mass car and relatively wide footprint etc) but as the ride comfort was not too bad maybe thats right. Who knows? Certainly not me! and I would appreciate any feedback based on personal experience.

Thanks guys.

PS: ARP4 now changed for the +8 Speedster so sorry for confusing sign off. I'll change it.

I run my Series 2 Aero at 25 front and 26 back on Mich PSS.

Many thanks for the quick feedback John, Alistair. 25 psi it is then, with maybe a bit more at the back when with luggage etc.

I have always run my 1994 +8 at 22 psi both front and back. Found this pressure to give the correct handling and ride comfort for me especially on the twisty mountain roads here in Colorado.

I would try different pressures between 22 - 26 psi and see which you prefer.

And with only a small difference between front and rear you can adjust the wanted degree of oversteer or understeer very well.

One slight problem with those answers - the OP is requesting pressures for the Aero (ally chassis) based Plus 8, not a trad/classic. The tyres on the Aero Plus 8 are more like rubber bands. smile
