Well the weather forecast got it right . It started to give us hailstones that turned to snow and slush on the ground . The main roads are salted but hell on the side roads . Its not the snow that bothers me its the drivers who think they are better than champion Swedish rally drivers , lets hope it rains and its a short winter.

We've had 14C here today and stair rods but nothing resembling white stuff it's just much too warm right now.

Went over Snake Pass to Sheffield yesterday,apart from being icy not a sign of any snow! A little worrying.
Also Ladybower Reservoir really low .
In the Snake Inn pictures of the snow in 1986 the drifts were at least 10 feet !

I certainly picked the wrong day to travel up to Girvan in Scotland yesterday
Flooded and icy roads and high winds and a tree came down across the A713 just before our turnoff about 20 miles from our destination
Turned around and found a pub to wait as the only alternative route was a 70 mile detour
Went back 2 hours later and had to wait another 20 mins to for the tree to be chopped up and cleared

Go on rub it in Richard . Woke up this m/ing blue sky and Sunshine. JUNE WANTS TO GO BLOODY SHOPPING AGAIN . Now you know why I hide in the garage all the time, shame the Mog has not got a boot .  We've had 14C here today and stair rods but nothing resembling white stuff it's just much too warm right now.

I spoke too soon John we have 9C with hail and rain today - good luck with the shopping, Heather's just got back from Sainsburys and Lidl with mince pies and mulled wine for the Carol Service tonight.

Leave it out Clipper my son is in Om near Goa and it's been 34C and the sea is almost too warm to swim in. I hate you both, but have a great holiday  .
