BTW, always use distilled (de-ionised) water in the mix.
Unless you live in a "Hard Water" area I have found no fully detailed reason to do this.
Can you advise me why in Scotland and I am sure in the "Softer Water" areas below the border for instance, we have people driving classic cars, many, many years old that are on their original radiators and water pumps with no cooling issues.
I have heard of no one anywhere near us who uses distilled water. I have seen it used in batteries but never in car cooling systems this side of the border.
When we lived in North Yorkshire for a year or so, I never found anyone using distilled water in their car radiator.
What damage has been done to these cars that are still running all these years later.
No for one moment saying this is not a requirement in certain "Hard Water" areas.
