Good morning all. I'm new to the forum and looking to purchase my first Morgan. I'm currently looking at a 1964 4/4 that looks pretty clean but I'm not sure about some items. I've been trying to search for the type of engine it should have, the owner claims it's original but I'm not sure where to go to find out. Also I've been looking at all kinds of photos of '60s interiors and can't figure out if this one has been altered or not. It only has 2, a multi gauge (with "Morgan" in the center and a speedo. In many of the photos I've see there is also a tach on the dashboard. According to the owner the vin is B912.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you, Joe

Welcome to TM Joe.
I would have thought that a 1964 should have a pre-crossflow Ford engine. Not sure on capacity though.
I am sure that someone who knows a lot more about cars of this period will be along soon.

It's a Series V and the VIN no's correct for the date. The original engine should be a Ford 116E 1500cc pre-crossflow. All the dashboard photos I've ever seen of of them included a tacho, which doesn't necessarily mean that 'yours' isn't right. Most of the information from Ken Hill's book Completely Morgan Four-Wheelers 1936-1968.

I'm trying to post a photo of the dash and motor but can't figure out how to do that. Do I have something shut off or am I just not as internet savvy as I need to be?

As expected, I'm just interweb illiterate. I'll just have to find another answer. I have absolutely no idea what that link means. It has Photobucket logos all over is and very difficult to read.

Hi Joe, Some time ago there was an attempt by Photobucket to force everyone to pay for image hosting, so we set up our own TalkMorgan image server. It's free for all TalkMorgan members to use and doesn't carry any advertising. The basic principle is that you upload an image from your computer to the image server, and then paste a link to the image into your posting. it's all explained here: https://www.tm-img.com/page/ifuHave a look and give us a shout if you get stuck.

not sure what that link even does Bob. It says they " perfect external representations of organizations." Whatever that means. I'm guessing this isn't going to be a copy/paste operation so I'll just let it go. I'll try and find someone locally that I can show the photos to and ask. Or maybe an easier to use Morgan site.
Thanks again, Joe

Slight typo by Bob, it's https://www.tm-img.com and the instructions are in the 'About' section, you can use the link I posted before to go directly to them.
