this small piece of hose gets brutally hot while the engine is running and therefore the small cracks and holes in it. also replace the 2 hose clamps with professional ones (stock ones are one-timers and dermot!!!) i got sprayed with fuel  . i am ok, but my front screens are a total loss now. hundreds of small cracks. I've just had exactly the same thing happen - grrrrr! The love hate relationship continues - how much is a screen I'm now thinking - maybe it's time for a pair of Brooklands aero screens. New pipe and connectors reqd too. Wondering if this is on early cars without the urban cooling kit. Looking at my car (2016), it’s hard to imagine fuel getting back to the windscreen.

The fuel leaks out from under and around the cowling forming a spray or mist, this is on early and late cars.
