I'm a noob who recently became interested in Morgans. I have always enjoyed British cars having formerly (in my youth) owned MG's but always longed for a TR6. Once I started learning about Morgans well I think I'm hooked. I just started reading Dave W's book and hope to digest as much info as I can in the future.
I live in south east Michigan and would really enjoy interacting with someone in my area. I know there is a club in Ohio. I would love to attend a meet and look at some cars. Thanks for including me in the forum.

Welcome Doar, I'm sure you will find out everything you need to know about Morgans here and of course you will have the pleasure of communicating directly with His Royal Cleverness, Dave W. who can also chat about MG's ( but not here please )

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Welcome Dear, I live in Seattle. As I am in the USA My Morgans are much older than the ones in Dave W's book.

You have more than one? Sweet! Is there a particular book you might recommend on the older Morgans?

Actually I have quite a few. "Original Morgan" by John Worrall is a good one to start with. I know John and have spent time with Him. "Completely Morgan" 1936 to 1968 by Ken Hill does a good job for pre +8 Morgans.

The 4/4, +4 and +8 are far different as well as the era it was built. I now have 3 Morgans. '63 +4-4STR, '61 DHC with Zetec Engine and a +8 Bitsa (Bitsa is a Brit word meaning "built of this and that". I must say the +4 is the best handling, best riding Morgan and I use it on My Long trips which include Seattle to New Orleans to Montreal to Nova Scotia to Seattle, Seattle to Key West to Seattle, shipped to France for LeMans and back to Boston and driven back to Seattle and lately a run in the Rocky's of Wyoming with Morgan Friends.

My advice is to buy the best You can afford. Playing catch up is very expensive and unless You are a Morgan Craftsman very hard to do correctly.

Hi Doar, Thhere's a Morgan Owners group in Michigan unfortunately not very active at the moment. The Windsor Detroit MG Club and the Heritage Village near Essex Ontario hold a British car show every summer which usually attracts 10 Morgans. Another event of note is British car day at Bronte Creek near Burlington Ontario which attracts over forty Morgans of various types.
PM me with your èmail address and I'll provide more details.
Look forward to hearing from you.
