A good friend mine mine recently bought a +8, but unfortunately has the problem described below. So far not a member of TM (awaiting confirmation) he sent me the text cited below to post, hoping for some solution. We both will be grateful for your help.
"Gentlemen. I have +8 produced in mid1995 with electrical problems. The only circuit diagram I have found on the net is one from 1990-91.(valid to 2004).
However, the wiring colour code on this diagram is different to the one found on the 1995 car. In particular the leads from the inertia swich to ignition bus and fuel pump. On the car leads are purple/white while on the diagram they are white/yellow. The fuse box argm. is also different from the 1990-91 set up.
Anyone who has a lead to where a correct circuit diagram for the1995 +8 can be found?"

There are 2 basic circuits for the Hot-wire +8 , one is the ecu/fuelling and the other is the rest of the car (lights etc)

I have something around but I am not at home currently and will need to research it when I return , but will get back to you .

The one I have is slightly different and mainly concerns the dashboard. It is for a 1999 car , but may be applicable . However I will have to upload it to the TM library first so it can be viewed by all, which will take me a little longer.

Thanks to both so far.According to my friend he has been through the various websites without result. Of course something might have eluded him, so I will forward what I got till now. Any other hints will be appreciated. What a nice and helpful this community is!

I just looked at my car and there are 3 wires going into the inertia switch.

The 2 larger ones are white with purple tracer , the smaller one is grey. Looks like your friend has the same wiring as I do.

As far as I know the fuse boxes changed a lot as more electronics were added to the car, and some owners modified them for their own needs , so that is not altogether unusual.

On my 95 +8 the inertia switch is wired so that

In normal position the power feed goes to the pump.

When the switch is activated the power feed to the pump is broken and power is now fed to a lamp in the cluster above the steering column.

That is why there are three wires.

Took me about 10 years before I tested the switch and found the warning lamp on

Originally I thought that lamp was a MIL light, but have found the MIL light feed from the ECU isn't wired. I have modified the ECU code and wired up a MIL light, but that's another story

I just made a quick test to refresh the grey cell

The dashboard light cluster has two direction indicator tell tale lights side by side. Below that are 4 lights vertically arranged. The bottom light has the legend 'CHECK ENGINE' and if the inertia switch has activated, when ignition is turned on the light flashes briefly, then goes off for about 5 seconds, then it comes back on.

On the subject of wiring diagrams, I haven't found one that represents a 95 +8. For example, some of the diagrams, such as the 99 diagram posted above, show an led warning light cluster, and include a heated screen, neither of which are relevant to a 95 +8. So I use a mix of what I can find, and visual inspection. Also remember that the engine side uses a LR harness similar (or same) as that from a Discovery 1, so a LR Disco manual can be handy. There is some EFI wiring info on sites such as gomog (see earlier post) but there isn't one source containing all the information needed.
