The old 3W is reg HUY so gets called Huey
The old cooper is reg NUK so is called Nookie
The Roadster, well I prefer the Silver Arrow, but 'er indoors calls it Basil, it's a long story but is not linked to the name, but rather my poor handwriting

It's rather odd don't you think that some feel the need to name their car as if it were a pet and others don't. I wonder why?

I have never called any of my cars anything other than 'the MG' or ' the TR' ... but I suppose if I were to have a name for the Healey it would have to be Denis!

Thinking about it, some I should have named hemorrhoid as they could at times be a right pain the ass!

The good ladies Mini arrived on an RO61CCY plate and got named Rocky.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

There is no romance in my soul I guess.

My first Mini was a red L reg Mini Clubman called Ethel as in Ethel Red (the unready, as it wasn't a totally reliable starter.....

My RD125 was called Yellow Peril, my KH250 was called smelly Nellie, the RD350LC was (naturally) Elsie, whilst my Ducati was called Desmorelda.

I've also had a Peugeot 504 pickup that was called Lester Pickup, and swmbo always referred to my TVR as "The tart trap"

My 4/4 was called Pandy, after my beloved, beautiful and much missed flat-coated retriever.

It’s a 4/4 Sport - Colour is Sports Sand

My wife suggested the name Sandy, but I’m not keen on it

How about ‘Monty’ after Field Marshall Montgomery for his exploits in the sand

"The workhouse" maybe? Equally unromantic!
