Did anyone hear Champagne Charlie on 'The World at One' today? An absolutely first-class performance explaining the reasons why MMC are performing well in the current world economic climate and a stirring rallying call to all those in the manufacturing sector of the economy. While it was slanted very much towards the West Midlands it applies equally country-wide. This piece should be played every day in all boardrooms and shop-floors across the region and the nation. Great stuff Charles! (and that from someone with whom a few past run-ins have been had, see the MogBlog!) A podcast is available on the BBC website, the interview is the last item so scroll through the droning politicos!)

William Morgan from Birmingham, producing a 1000 odd cars a year?
Seriously though, a good piece. Like his young Head of Design, they are really getting 'out there' and pushing forward which is great.

I was hoping for more. The doesn't say much and the conversation is disjointed. Perhaps worse is the host calling Charles, William Morgan at the conclusion. Perhaps I am missing something or did they simply identify him incorrectly?

Well spotted, Morgan is certainly bucking the trend and has become a beacon of successful business.
I wonder where all these 1000 cars are going and what models they are.
