Congratulations

The steering will free up and self centre well enough when the kingpin bushes wear in a bit.

Great looking leather and colour combination.

First proper drives in a Morgan are always memorable - so I enjoyed reading about yours.

The studs just behind the doors can easily be forgotten and will shear off very easily if they're left on when taking the hood off. Many of us have done this. frown

Enjoy.... smile

Lovely looking car and colour.
Take a look at the following link, I think you will find them very useful.

great write-up Wolfie ; really enjoyed that thumbs

Like many others,I transitioned from Bike to Morgan (Aero8 in my case) and agree it is one of the nearest things to the biking sensation you can get (other than maybe a Caterham, etc.)

I look forward to more tales - and pictures.....

Wolfie, great to hear you've finally got your Mog

As a couple of others have mentioned the brakes will improve with some gentle bedding in of the new pads

Your steering not self centering will also get better, as when new the King Pins are set up very tight on some cars, I would also recommend you give the front end a good top up of grease to all the nipples, mine left the factory very 'dry' and was obviously not checked by the dealer at PDI

Happy motoring !

Hi FW, I echo the great write up comments. Remember the first ride in mine mid August. Sunny weather, side screens and hood off as I drove home from dealers, with prospect of 130 mile trip later in the day to look forward to.

Would recommend Wolf Performance rebound spring gaiters before too much muck gets into pillars. Matching lower bearings fitted at same time will add lightness to steering. Don't be frightened to pump grease into that front suspension every 1000 miles either to maintain lightness.

That's exactly the art of driving a Morgan. To match exactly the one hour of greatest fulfillment...between wear in and wear out. hide
