It would seem that nobody has in reply to the OP.
Passed first time in 1968 in a Triumph Herald, they were brilliant for 3 point turns unlike Morgan's.
Never did pass a bike test but it didn't stop me riding quite a few back in the day.

A number of years ago there was an article in the IAM magazine from a gent who took his IAM test in his Morgan. Not aware of anyone doing the Ministry test in one though.

Bike test for me on my Lambretta LI150 in 1966. This makes three of us on this forum by the look of it. Wonder what you all did with your parkas, desert boots and Fred Perry shirts? Car test in 1970 in a Ford Escort. My instructor used to tell me every time I got in the car that he taught Roger Moore how to drive.

Not quite a Morgan but I took my test in a Mini Moke (May 69), without a hood or side covers. The test examiner came out and said oh an open vehicle, I will get my overcoat, 20 mins later it was all over!! The Moke belonged to my instructors daughter. The instructors Fiat 124 saloon had been written off on my last lesson by an rather impatient artic driver, when it went to court he had 28 previous convictions! Bike test on a Vespa 150.

Did/passed the bike test in 1978, one week after 17th birthday on a 98cc Excelsior Consort with a 2 speed villagers engine. The bike is still in the garage! I was lucky enough to have ridden bikes since I was 8. My dads friend took care of a school, where he would let me ride round the playground at weekends and school holidays..couldn’t get away with that now! Didn’t bother with car test until 1988, the then wife could drive so if we needed to be in a car I let her or I’d drive with L plates on for years. Eventually took some lessons and passed on first attempt in the driving schools Citroen BX 14. A much under rated car I think..

As replied earlier passed not long after 17 birthday. In my teens I used to drive a Willys Jeep, still with US markings. My dad’s mate bought it so we could get onto Pembrey sands to go fishing. I learned to drive it on the forestry tracks, dunes and beach. Awesome vehicle! Good way to learn car control. LHD with low/high gearstick plus normal 4 speed. Canvas “roof” with no sides, fold flat windscreen. Don’t tell anyone but at night we went “lamping” in it.......me driving no lights. Switch them on and catch rabbits startled. Passenger with shotgun, on safety, rabbits were sitting ducks. In those days access to the forest was restricted but we had a key off the Forestry people to go in. Couldn’t do it now as public have easy access. To get in we crossed the abandoned Pembrey airfield. I later taughtthe childrento drive on there using runways, taxi andaccess roads. It is reopened as an airfield now though.

I'm a little surprised. At some posts it sounds as if you could use your own car for the driving test?
