I like my family and a couple of friends driving the machines.
We so that in all directions. Shared experience ads fun.
But I could not imagine to AirBnB them...

That's the argument she uses to get me to let her drive - I can't fault her logic but still very apprehensive!

I let her drive my old Series 2A Land Rover once. She was OK apart from steering, changing gear and braking.....

Proms are ok...

I am unlikely to lend the car though. I am happy for people to sit in the car if I am thete...not like the Japanese tourist who just climbed in swear
I do wish some parents could instill some respect in their children...

Agree Proms have given me some of the most special and memorable times in a Morgan but I wouldn’t lend mine out for someone else to drive unless it was a friend and I was there

I did let my best friend Tony take the wheel of my Mog in Northumbria last year with our wives in the back which was fun

Hell Dean how did you know that, she often brings me a tray of food in the garage , claims its the only way to feed me sometimes.

. Its a few years ago at a car show I had wandered off with June returned to find two ice cream cornets stuffed into my twin Weber's . Then at another show some scum must have had a strong dose of flue as the engine had was covered with green phlegm.

I think I would be very happy to drive that delightful young lady to the prom too.

Surprised about the Japanese tourist. The Japanese are usually very respectful of other people's property and very careful not to offend. You absolutely do not even see graffiti on walls or trains etc.

Tim, After the work put in the Mog I think the ones that touch Mogs should have this for punishment .

1/. I was trying to fit my spot lights back onto the wings , no problem till it came to the wire through the rubber grommet that's in the wing . I tried and tried but would it hell fit the rubber grommet banghead . June got under the mog took over and bingo did it easy . A womans touch .

2/. The petrol pump broke the mog was near the wall so its down into the footwell via the passenger side, head on the pedals arse on the drivers seat feet over the head rest area . At last job done with Junes help . BUT I was stuck fast and swmbo rofl she had to pull me out by my legs and could not do it for laughing . At last pulling at my jeans and any bits she could get hold of she got me out another swmbo rofl

3/. This one is a cracker, I had took the lid off the rear axle to clean the battery in that area behind the passenger seat , petrol tank etc etc etc, . But being a short arse I have to lean over . I got an old stool dad made stood on it and leaned over . The Mog has a tubular bar running near the rear axle from side to side with shockers fitted . I was balanced across the mog body hands down towards the petrol tank and the battery . But could not reach . So wiggled a bit and ZOOM I shot over the side into the space between the petrol tank tubular bar and axle, stuck fast . I still use my late Dads overalls , but they slipped down past my knees , and there was two hairy little legs sticking out of the space .
I shouted for June and she ran into the garage spotted me . Burst out laughing and said. "DON'T MOVE WHILE I GET A CAMERA". Where the hell was I going to go . I was stuck fast . She TRIED to stop laughing grabbed hold of me and pulled at bits I never knew I had as she could not stop laughing . At last I was pulled out . But swmbo had to go in the house and sit down as she could not stand up for laughing . We still laugh at it now. ooo

Nope. Especially not to my wife. Her cars are always full of biscuits and have more dents than a golf ball... she doesn't even have a key to the garage. smile

I do like that. I have tried hiding the garage key but SWMBO has found a spare and I have on occasion found her putting gardening things on the bench, she is healing nicely now !!! wink

Thumbs down to an Air BnB model for lending the Mog. However I have, and will again, lend to trusted friends. Visitors from Australia are offered the choice of Mog or Pug to drive in the country. Or even to another country! One took the Mog on a holiday to the UK. I'm a bit selective about the friends; they tend to be old mates from motorsport days with good wheel skills. Ah, the joys of giving!
