Now everyone who see's you will be wondering why you have a huge grin on your face . The down side is  kids etc know you are on a high and an easy touch for those things they have been asking for and you told them you could not afford. Hence the reason why most Mog owners hide in the garage and get covered in grease . is not going to seduce your wallet and get her clothes dirty.  Brilliant replies guys! Many thanks. I am buying a towel today!  Actually maybe 2!! More importantly, I am looking forward to collecting the car today or tomorrow! Very excited actually... it's been an interesting 'journey' getting to this point. Pretty much a 'standard' Plus4, no brake reaction bars and no luggage rack. However the dealer has now added most of the really nice stainless steel stuff in the cockpit as part of the 'deal'  I will of course post more on this soon! Cheers, Pete.

I still noticed when the modifications were listed here. I do not have it myself, but a thought to the paint protection. Only if you plan this, then it would be logical to do it as early as possible.

Sorry forgot to mention a towel
(Actually I do carry two towels, not only because I’m partial to a good towel but because I use one to fold up into the hood to protect the clear vinyl rear screen from scratching)
I have a bath towel rolled round some large diameter pipe insulation foam that I use to stop the plastic window from getting marked/creased when the hood is folded. The other towel is a micro-fibre one, much better at mopping up water...should it be needed.

Great idea for a thread
In no particular order and not exhaustive
John Taylor’s (Morgan Hoods) aka Phoenix Design Door mirrors so you can actually see behind on your nearside
Wolf Performance bonnet Stays
Towel (because you always know where you are with a towel)
John Taylor (Morgan Hoods) storm cover
Stainless Mesh grill (because you won’t get all upset over fishing out debris from behind the grill and hides stuff stuck on your radiator
Towel
Three eared wheel spinners (because they look cool if you’ve ever followed a car with them on at a relatively low speed) (not essential I just like them)
Towel
Wolf Performance side screen knob spanner (because it’s shiny and much easier to use than a Tommy bar which can slip out and damage your paintwork
Wolf Performance pump up lumbar seat bladders (mega for backs and so easy to fit)
Towel
Couple of small tins of your paint colour and a colour code or name and year that any paint mixing company can understand and keep it safe
A set of quality transparent fuses that you can actually see if they’ve blown
Towel
ACF50 to dribble along wing beading and into cracks regularly
Tectyl 506 spray to spray on any mods under the Mog when you are under to ward off the rust - it’s translucent amber so you can see through it to inspect condition but coloured so you know it’s there - much better than black stuff
Trowel (good for gardening)
Meguairs Ultimate Quik Detailer (I now use it all the time instead of water washing unless it’s really dirty)

An odd but goodie.... two small off-cuts about 10mm long of small bore fuel pipe which you can use to insert into the door window rail to stop them chattering open.

I cannot emphasise the need for a towel strongly enough. From the above posts, it is conceivable that you may not have got this one on your list yet.
Luggage rack - but you may not want side screen storage so use the car a bit before you spend on this. Side screen storage in the luggage rack is very useful if you remove the side screens when touring. But, it leaves your luggage a bit higher reducing your rearward view. If you find that you leave the side screens on all the time when touring, then a lower luggage rack could be your better choice.
Paint protection film - while the paint is still new. You will not regret it.
Microfibre cleaning towels and Meguairs ultimate detailer.

Enjoy your new P&J. I have both the side screen storage rack as well as the non-storage rack. I find on long trips I prefer the non-storage rack and keep the side screens in the door for wind protection and also to keep My visibility to the rear open. By buying clothes that can be washed a nd dried over night and using soft luggage, My Travelling Companion and I can spend about 5 weeks on a tour. I buy My travelling clothes at a Mountain Shop here in Seattle.

The other thing I forgot to mention is to watch the contact points between the bonnets and bulkhead, and cowl. Most will chafe somewhere and wear the paint through to the metal in no time.
This can also happen anywhere round the door aperture so needs watching. Paint protection film is the answer and this is an easy DIY fix.
