I'd never do an AirBnB style thing with mine (apart from anything else, I would be very reluctant to allow anybody unfamiliar with the challenges of driving a RHD car with manual transmission in this country to take the wheel). But I am absolutely not precious about people touching it - mine is far from being a concours specimen, the paintwork is shiny but not exactly pristine, there are marks and chips (and a spot of rust here and there, if I'm honest).
I've been pressed into service as the driver for assorted events for various offspring, though none of them is (quite) yet old enough to do proms, and hopefully a long way short of contemplating weddings! And when it comes to work with me, we somehow manage to find an excuse to drive somewhere for lunch, 4-up more often than not. It amuses the locals...
