Finding suitable headgear would mean a shopping trip. ‘nuff said  If you will be mainly hood down then a Pashmina is good. Coupled with sunglasses creates a filmstar look. Something waterproof also.

One option that 'er indoors favours is to wear hats from Suburban Turban . They were originally designed to be worn by women suffering hair loss following chemotherapy, but they have the enormous advantage of completely covering all the hair, avoiding tangles and messes. As an alternative she goes for the pashmina.

Mine takes at least 3 hats on every road trip in the Morgan to cover all temperature eventualities predicted. She has at least 10 to choose from. Leather flying helmet seems to be spring and autumn. Cotton flying helmet gets more use in the summer. A furry owl based hat is used in winter. I could go on.
The thing to remember is not the style of the hat. Rather, it is the style of the hair when the hat is removed. Getting that part wrong is nearly as bad as her being too cold. Same with mine! Morgan and hats and caps..... I call it follow-up costs

If she is worried about head-wear, please make sure that you keep the side screens on whilst the weather is colder.
As regards use of hood - ours gets used when the rain is so heavy that we cannot keep the inside of the windscreen clear. Management has been known to insist on hood erection on very cold days if we are on motorways or dual carriageways.

A jacket with a hood, with sidescreens on the the airflow comes from behind.
