I’m about to confirm spec of a new Plus 4. Most of this relatively startforward and exciting (I have wanted a Morgan for 40years!) but I am torn between the look of the overriders (and that they make attaching a luggage rack easier) versus the free “Baby Doll” front valance available on the 110 anniversary model, which is incomparable with overriders. I’m edging away from the spoiler but would be interested in other views.

Can you have both, and pay the extra for one 😄

Sadly not. At the front the valance and the overriders are incompatible I understand.

I went for the full bumper on my Roadster - I thought it suited the car. My +8 is naked. smile

A spoiler on a road going trad may be functionally ineffective but I think for most people it's about the aesthetic, which is a more important part of Morgan ownership rather than an extra 1/10th of a second on a lap time.

Full bumper versus overriders versus nothing, that's a debate that will run forever. It's another joyous aspect of the variety of Morgan ownership. I can't think of another car that you can buy new today that you have that choice on. joy

Now there's a challenge for someone to prove me wrong stirpot wink

p.s. I have full bumpers

MMC will only supply one or the other though on the 110 anniversary Plus Four. As the valance is a freebie and overriders are an extra £702.63 + VAT option, it would be a no brainer for me.

FWIW I'm retaining the overriders on my Roadster and having a custom Wolf full valance made. If I had to choose it would be the valance only though.

The valance offers some protection for the exposed radiator and the steering rack.

It's possible to have a bespoke shallow front valance with over-riders but it has to be in three pieces.

I have had all four options you can choose. Full bumpers on my first Mog, then overriders, after that a naked “Sports“, then a P4SS with a valance only plus spot lights, and now since 4,5 years again just overrider.
I liked them all very much as they were. Maybe today I'd choose full bumper again, not as a change on my car but if another one would appear which is unlikely). I think, until the 90's it was very common at least what I have seen so far in media, today it's cool again and quite rare in my view.
