That is all down to personal taste, I studied long and hard and finally went for overriders, I think they look great and I'm so pleased I did :-)

I went for overriders and had the dealer fit a Wolf 'Stubbie' spoiler painted to match the car colour. It subtly improves the look of the car without going to a full racer look and gives some protection to the radiator and steering rack. Very pleased with it and I would definitely do the same again.

Personally I have always thought the front valance looks ugly and just plain weird. It would be different if it went full width of the car but with the mudguards at a higher level the effect is of a central lump hanging down under the front of the car.

Big Blue gives an idea of what it could look like if full width though obviously you would not want it so low on a road car.

I have made a three part valance for the Roadster with an extra piece which attaches to the valance and goes back to the sump guard. This both protects the radiator and I think, creates a venturi effect. It also keeps the engine bay remarkably clean. I intend to do something similar on the NEW PLUS FOUR !!!!!

If its about aethetics and the aesthetic you like is that of a 1930s car ( as with a Trad) then surely the full bumper is the way to go

I think there is confusion between full width racer and road car Peter. With the later it's just from inner wing to inner wing as distinct from stubbie that fits between overriders. It better looks the part IMHO especially with the wider bodied cars.

As an aside and maybe because of my Yorkshire bloodline, little thought seems to be given in advice offered that the valance is a freebie.

Just as a reminder, this was my third front valance and is a practical option if you can cut and shape aluminium on a simple scale!

^^^

This is also what I will be doing with my Plus 4, with factory overriders.

Best of both! :>)

Went over riders on our car. Every time we attend a large event and pep walk past the wings dragging carrier bags I wish we had ordered bumpers. The over riders look suits the car really well IMHO but the numbers we had on the old 4/4 were one less thing to worry about.

I agree. The front valance is rather too modern in style in my view and clashes with the traditional styling. A bit like putting go faster stripes on!
