I think the front valance looks really cool.....but on my 110 opted for the over riders.

Swmbo preferred them (so that in itself was enough!) but also if I wanted to add them at a later date it looked like a big (expensive) job..

Plus i guess they do provide a bit more protection when parking in the garage..

I don’t think there’s actually a right or wrong answer though!

Agree no right or wrong answer - its all down to taste.

At least if its factory fitted you won't have the potential paint-match issues if you decide to add one later on.

I have over-riders but also like the look of the valance.

Agree..it is down to personal taste...I am in the process of taking the over riders off my Roadster and fitting a new full width front bumper...I prefer the "retro" or "proper" Morgan face at the front love

Yes it is annoying the factory will not do both. I asked them and the reply was "Unfortunately over riders and a valance can't be specified together, our choice would be the valance but they both look great!"

So the choice is either take the free Valance or get over riders fitted while the car is built.

I was thinking whether it is possible to get the free valance and then retro fit some Austin Healey over riders which could work out relatively cheap compared to buying Morgan ones and look the same to me. Making the brackets might be hard but the car they are using to advertise the 110 model has spot lights fitted and I was thinking if you ordered those would it give you something else to try attach the over riders.

Or order the car with over riders and then go for this
http://www.geoffsshed.net/downundertray.html.

While at the Bathurst Morgan Muster I talked to a few people with the down under tray and they said it makes the car much cooler to be in so a really worthwhile upgrade.

Note that if you want to make your own Geoff has a link on that page to how he makes them or Dave W shows you how to make an aluminium one in his great book.

My plan was to talk to Geoff and if his down under tray was still available then probably go for factory over riders and the down under tray. However since then I have been informed I am going to become a grandparent and "she who must always be obeyed" wants us to buy a house to rent to our son and girlfriend meaning I have been told my money can be put to a much better use than ordering a Morgan.

Just talking 4/4.
I am wondering when at last full bumpers were still offered for the 4/4? I would be very tempted because the 4/4 looks a bit like the first Plus 8 in terms of body wideness.

Like this young timer, in the pics below, she seems to have the more rare aluminium bunpers. And here the bumper fits excellent, not too wide, a nice car.

The next 4/4 also looks astonishing. She is from 1972. But here the body seems narrower than the 1989 4/4 in the first picture...more like the todays narrower wideness of a 4/4 and the bumper looks a bit too long in relation to the body which I would not like tp prefer.

In the 80s MMc seems to have used bumpers with different length to suit the model range. If you see the Car locator there are Plus8 wide body with good fitting bumpers as well

Is it possible to mount a cool narrow 1980s aluminium full bumper on my 2014 4/4?

Or could you buy two of these and use/modify the parts to fit both front and rear over riders?

Neilda, a very nice shot, it shows a great and fit and it reminds me on my first Roadster with full bumpers as well. But that bumper would be too wide for a 4/4 of current production.
