Hello,

Can anyone on this learned forum confirm the source for the front bumpers used on Plus 4s in 1959? Ford 100E is the usual answer, but my car's original front bumper had a starting handle hole, and that means I think the Ford 300E/Escort/Squire front bumper or that used on Thames vans (which I think was the same).
When my car was rebuilt in the 1980s the front bumper was discarded because the hole was considered unsightly, and the rear bumper was moved to the front. I am considering restoring the original configuration. Thanks

SmallFordspares.co.uk supply the bumpers at £259 each, the 100E /Morgan one doesn’t have a starting handle hole.
Have a look at their website for other versions maybe?

They do have the 300E bumper with hole, but I'd like to be sure it's the right thing before ponying up $400 and shipping to the US. Many thanks.
