As least that photo will keep away the thoughts of the snow in Berkshire.  The container carrying our cars is on this ship which has just arrived in the Port of Tauranga New Zealand. 6 weeks wait now until we are with them in Auckland. Thanks to DougL for the photo.

The container carrying our cars is on this ship which has just arrived in the Port of Tauranga New Zealand. 6 weeks wait now until we are with them in Auckland. Thanks to DougL for the photo. Tauranga was a lovely town when we visited a few years ago, when my son and his girlfriend (now wife) were working there. The hill on the right looks like Mount Maunganui, a local highspot and worth the hard walk up it. I will be following your adventures with great interest, it is a route I would like to do myself in a year or two, sadly this year would not have worked for me. Have a great time, I know you will.

Aha the ship carrying mine came in passed the mount on Monday ! Now in Auckland being cleared by customs and MPI.

Nigel if the containers are offloaded at Tauranga (likely) they will be rail freighted to Auckland metro port (penrose) to be processed.

Nigel if the containers are offloaded at Tauranga (likely) they will be rail freighted to Auckland metro port (penrose) to be processed. Yes the container is being offloaded from the Spirit of Hamburg and is being taken by rail to Auckland Metroport.

Are you tracking the container or "just" the ship? We are tracking both. As of 2.55 this morning the container has been offloaded and is on a train to Auckland.
