Really Gentlemen!....No flattering comments regarding the charming and rather "tasty" lassie engaged as a ferry deckhand?  Seems evident that our two adventurous protagonists wasted little time in attempting to "chat her up."  I certainly would have looked upon it as significantly aberrant male behavior if they hadn't done so!  IMV that brief footage was the highlight of a mediocre Episode One...

The fact it was a 4/4. I'd have assumed something more powerful from the factory. The premise is that they are driving on 1930's roads using a 1935 road map so it really had to be the original model. If they had been doing a European Grand Tour then perhaps one of the more corpulent variants might have been appropriate; but for the single track, twisty UK country lanes of this programme the nimble 4/4 is surely the obvious choice?
