Wonder if there will be any ataunamas trad body pods around.

It`s definitively all about options ans alternatives. There is a bunch of research on this topic.
We also tested it with my grandma who never would have given up driving.
It was the free Taxi Option, that she soon called her chauffeur. Her own car was more and more forgotten in the garage as the chauffeur also helped with the bags at her cottage...

Yes a good move

This is part of a whole area which most of us are reluctant to enter. As we age, when do we move dwelling to somewhere we can manage. Maybe with support. Sheltered? And this goes with giving up driving so maybe it has to be near the doctors? Then what about moving near the kids? Do you want them supervising? or are they helping? Can you manage stairs or do you need a bungalow?

I'm depressing myself let alone you lot.

He should have plenty of alternatives for dayly mobility...

For the rest of the world keeping the licence does not mean being forced to use it. Might just be a good feeling to carry it around. Could give me the feeling of it's my choyce not to drive.

I think that is a very good point about hanging onto your license but not necessarily using it, at least it seems that the opportunity has not passed. Let it be many years away and grant us the wisdom to know when the time has come.
