A difficult time. The bit about the fire did intrigue me - must be fun trying to remove the spent ashes Last time I went camping (borrowed tent from sister) was in 1992 - a charity m/c ride JoGLE. Nearly lost the tent on the last day running back to Cheltenham. It was a good ride with the "Bike Aid" group. Wouldn't go camping now - value my comfort - in a good pub preferably

I was amused by the amount of luggage Chris had and they still managed to fit in a picnic table and chairs 🙄 They must be testing the new "Tardis" 4/4 SWMBO would like me to get one of those I did notice that when Chris got in the car he passed his bag to Peter, then it magically disappeared No sign of the Transit van following behind them with their gear. It did tickle me that on one of the few occasions they put the roof down it rained

Perhaps the way to go touring in a Mog is to get a group together and have a Transit acting as luggage carrier and mobile workshop?
They seemed to be enjoying the experience, and the car, Peter rather more than Chris.
I agree, they didn't seem to spend much time on the A30: I know it well as it is my preferred route from Salisbury to Heathrow. Slower but more predictable than the M3.
Back in the 60s it took Dad, driving the family Ford Zodiac, all day to drive from Esher, Surry to Portreath, where we used to have our holidays. According to Google Maps following the same route, A3 then A30, it is just 6 hours and 270 miles.
I think cars and roads have improved a lot.....

Pity we didn't see the realities, like negotiating the parked cars at Milborne Port, the pinch point at Wilton, driving through Basingstoke or Yeovil ( a quick blatt down Babylon Hill wouldn't have gone amiss)
It certainly paints an image of quieter roads of a time gone by, how much ended up on the digital cutting room floor I wonder?

Don’t you also wonder just how far the car is trailered between each take?

Really enjoying the series - try and get down to Cornwall and/or Dartmoor at least a couple of times a year. Met my Mrs on a dig in Dartmoor about 16 years ago.
This year will be my first camping trip to Dartmoor in the Morgan (the joy of a 4 seater!)
Looking forward to next weeks - for a while I was living in Tregaron and the Mrs was in Bangor, so hoping to see a few of the old haunts, and the roads in between.

You'd have to drive pretty fast to keep up with a Tranny van

Annoying silver balance weights on black wire wheels!!!
Painted mine black when I had an all black 4/4 on black wires.
Just looks finished in my opinion Kev, agree 100%, these things really tick my OCD box When my recent Roadster was in chassis build I mentioned no knock on, or exposed weights please ! And to my amazement they remembered
