Bit grey this morning, but started to brighten after lunch, so I went for a 20-mile gentle blat with the roof off. Used the tonneau cover for the first time too! And got a few glimpses of sunshine...

Nice run out to Kingsbridge and back via Slapton Line with a nice Valentines lunch in the town, 2 big Healeys seen and waved with, a blue/white one and a red/black.

9 Paragliders enjoying the breeze at Strete Gate making a very colourful sight at around 200' - all in all a nice morning in great company .

Spring is trying to sprung 11C and

Second earth lead fitted & car was tested to be safe given the sun etc.

Cracking drive up to Ickworth House near Bury St Edmunds today, via Pebmarsh, Sudbury, Long Melford and Hartest.
Maiden run with m'valentine so hood up going, but she insisted on trying it without, coming back. All OK. Don't think the Librands sports exhaust is going to be a problem Never heard her complain, any way.

Fantastic sunny winters day here in Yorkshire, quite warm too. So I thought it was time Swmbo had her first taste of the Morgan.

Hence we headed off, roof down, for a little trip in the country.As it’s Valentine’s Day I thought I’d spoil her with a bit of lunch out too.

We went along the A65 to Long Preston then took the B6478 to Slaidburn.

A quick stop at the tearooms in Slaidburn saw her treated to said lunch, comprising a sausage buttie and coffee. Luckily she’s cheap to run!

We then took the unclassified road through the Trough of Bowland to High Bentham, turned right back to the A65 where we turned off to divert through Giggleswick and Settle on the way back to Skipton.

Then instead of coming straight back, we diverted via Ilkley, returning home over the moors roads.

Total 109 miles, I loved every one of them and Swmbo said she really enjoyed it too.

I didn’t notice last time I drove the car (this is only the second outing), but there is a wonderful smell of leather/wood/whatever when you’re in the car. Better than that, as I’m sat here typing I can still smell it on my clothes...Morgan ought bottle the scent, I’m sure it would sell

Fat Wolfie, I am so loving the “journey “ you are illustrating for us. It is so enjoyable and you do it so eloquently and with style. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m still at the anticipation stage or what but please keep it going. I will be part of the gang in 28 days time (please oh lord!)

Just over 40 miles today. No roof or sidescreens. Here's a couple of pics taken on the way to New Quay:





In the car park, there was an MX5, and a V12 Aston, but this MG parked up near me after I arrived...

Nice 2 hour drive with my daughter (Morgan enthusiast!) this Saturday. We drove through te dunes and boulevard along beach (Noordwijk aan Zee). This was the first time in 2019, the Morgan played outside. Beautiful day, no salt on the road, heating on, “tested” the equipment through some enthusiastic accellerations. Wow, I know again, why I love my car! Sunday, looks like another testing opportunity!
