Some of you may recall I did a Mod on my Tonneau Cover to make it more useable. I created the Tonneau Anti Flap Strap for a few quid. (Separate thread)
.
This has made the use of my Cover much more practical with or without sidescreens on and has the added bonus of easy weatherproofing and security to cockpit when parked.

However, it does have a draw back in either single seat or dual seat operation when the cover is rolled up and stowed beind the seats it foul the seat belt/s stopping retraction and when driving faster the wind/suction can start to draw the cover up from behind the seats. So I have now added another bit of bondage by using two straps to secure the stowed Tonneau roll.

The straps are used either together or singly if in driver only mode. The result is
a. No seat belt interferance
b. secure when driving at speed
c. Looks good (I think)
d. Has "virtually rendered my hood cover redundant. (no I am not selling)
e. It matches my other bondage of my stowed side screens. (another thread) because my luggage carrier does not have side screen stowage brackets.

Another Mod that cost little money but makes a difference

I use straps of the roof fabric with Velcro inside to do the same.

I had a 1/2 tonneau cover made with a zip transversely across the car to enable the other half to be zipped into place when parking. The part attached to the hood has a flap which ensures full cover of any luggage and can be fixed to the heel plate with poppers to prevent inflation and flapping. Works a treat. Those nice chaps at Allon White made it up for me.

Those securing straps are standard on the Allon White "Speedifit" hoods. They are velcro sealed as standard

I do like the tonneau anti-flap mechanism though. Do you get any water ingress around the extra stud in the tonneau?

No water ingress.I put a small disc of leather on the underside to take the fastener. It works a treat. Also when ever I am not driving I release the strap.

It has absolutely transformed the cover when driving alone.

Am I mistaken or are those seats in several shades of grey?
