Went for a spin earlier - pulling out of the drive, gave the loud pedal a blip while turning right and instead of coming about nicely, the back end spun ninety degree.
Nearly ended up facing the hedge which would have been a tad embarrassing.
Felt it twitch before, but have to watch that.

Nearly 800 miles done over the weekend and except for sixty of those glorious top down motoring with eight other Mogs. My exhaust clamps have had a bit of a bashing but that's an easy fix. Berry brook have three lovely Aeros in stock if anyone is interested, cars may be sticking around a bit I think. You could buy a brand new three wheeler or a beautifull s hand Aero with a few thousand to spare for running cost's but then I'm biased.

This morning a quick run to the Post Office to send out some key fobs. Tarka got a wash yesterday, today is detail the inside and wax the outer. Even without polish the watery sun highlights the glorious colour...  There are few better looking Aero Plus 8s about, but then I'm more than slightly biased!

When I first set eyes on it (at the factory I think) I had to do a double take. It was so different to the UK pallet of Silver/Grey/Black/White but then I really liked it. The rich vibrance in the colour glows in the sun.
It was the same with our Coupe with the brown leather interior, at first I was in love with the outside silver but not keen on a brown interior. Once I sat in it and got over the mental tick of emmmm-chocolate-yum I really loved it.
I was never a fan of brown on cars before but like it now.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Sometimes it seems brown, sometimes it seems to be gold, it all depends on the light. Here is one taken today, after applying polish and buffing up, and in full sunlight....  It is a a complex and expensive paint, that much I do know.

It's a very rich colour for sure  You'll have to see how much quicker it goes with that sheen tomorrow Peter. My late father used to pay the engineers on his Spitfire extra to polish it up well for a few extra knots.

A few years ago we spied a Plus 4 in PDI in a metallic bronze, with it's brown hood up, you rarely see Mogs with a brown hood, but the combo looked superb

I read somewhere that a well polished Spitfire was up to 10mph faster than a dirty one.
