Probably not a good idea to judge all of the UK by what Morgan produce. I sometimes despair at the design and production that comes out of Malvern as well. That said, you have to admire them for producing the M3W at all as no one else has come close.

Steve, any further update on your split bonnet project?

A couple of photos of the finished project. As part of the change in look, I moved the front emblem down about 2.25" to be more on the 'face' of the cowl, had the cowl repainted in body color, and painted the area behind the mesh screen in semi gloss black. I moved the bonnet lacing to the body as I thought that looked cleaner than having it on the bonnet itself.

Note the new oil tank with bottom entry hoses installed.

I've also thrown in a shot showing the frontal effect of the lowered emblem, the change to polished tappet covers (gives the motor a more pronounced V look than the black ones), the small grille covering the S&S emblem, and a return to the stock air cleaner, with increased 'cut out' area (again to accentuate the engine V configuration). Amber driving lights I'm undecided about. They are fully installed and functional, but will decide at a later date if they are keepers.

you have done a suburb job. did you out source the painting? With that colour, the painted cowl works really well with that colour scheme

The split bonnet idea is a very good one and really makes me wonder why the factory did not offer or do it as a standard feature.

For a definitive answer it's maybe a bit cheeky but you could try giving Hans Weiss at Avus a call as they did it!

Lovely car and those patinated wheels 😍 . But the bonnet louvres? Look good but I thought that they’d be functional!

Beautifully well done. God is always in the details. And I thought I was OCD!

You’ve got to have some seriously massive balls to cut the cowl yourself. Looks fantastic though!
