Here is the new bypass. Would not fit under the engine so I placed it next to the oil tank. I also installed a temp guage, driving around town yesterday at a brisk 50f, the tem got close to 230f. The extra wire is for the fan switch, I was bending one of the tabs and it broke off. The hole is plugged and a new switch is on order [/URL]

You will probably need some protection on those pipes, they could be prone to vibration abrasion.

Just installed a Morgan Custom Oil Cooler. Nice piece of kit. The fit and finish on everything is excellent. Emil says it takes about 1 hour so I probably need remedial training as I spent the better part of the afternoon but candidly had to start and stop numerous times for the kids. Plus I changed the oil at the same time and added the oil drain kit. Given the change to the front with the oil cooler it is a bit harder to get the hose of the engine block so the oil drain seems like a good idea.

Pictures? Would love to see how you did it.

2Sharp: You will find the Oil Drain Kit just makes the whole process of changing the oil easier and cleaner.

I did go back to my original oil filter bypass. Having the bypass so close to the tank it turned out the oil followed the path of least resistance and went mostly to the tank, and not to the cooler. No doubt hindered by needing to reduce the lines from 1/2 to 3/8 right at the cooler.
On my shake down... the oil consistently was in the 210-220f range. Whilst stuck in traffic at one point the oil reached 240f and took about 10 miles to return to 220. Only when I got home did I notice one of the wires to the fan switch had "vibrated off". Imagine that..... vibration! That probably caused the 240 reading.
I may mount a fan cut off switch as you don't need the fan at speed.

photo number 4 ![[Linked Image]](http://www.talkmorgan.com/gallery/26/medium/37775.jpg) Took a while to install but I wanted it out in free air as here in Australia it gets very hot. Trevor, how has this been working out for you? I noticed you extended the number plate forward a bit for clearance for the cooler. Do you have any problems with the vibration damaging the hoses? Photos of hose routing? What is the cooler and fan setup, are they a unit or did you add fans to an existing cooler? With the hot temps being here now it is of obvious interest 😊.
