Not new to Morgans but am new to Trikes. Will be looking at a 2012 next week. What is NVH. What do I ask the Dealer?

NVH Noise Vibration Harshness
The early M3W's had the bevel box solidly mounted onto the chassis, following complaints about noise from the bevel box MMC mounted the bevel box on a sub frame which in turn was fitted to the chassis with metalastic bushes. This was done in an attempt to isolate the bevel box from the chassis. My 2013 car had this upgrade and it made negligible difference to the noise.

It's the rubber mounting arrangement for the bevel box. Introduced as standard at the start of 2014 if I remember correctly. It was meant to reduce bevel box noise but seems to be fairly ineffective and may cause hassles due to the bevel box moving about a bit that the earlier rigid mounts didn't have.
I wouldn't worry about adding the NVH kit if it doesn't have it but what it does indicate is a car with one of the earlier chassis which would have come from the factory without the welded in diagonal braces behind the motor. If so it should definitely have the bolt in diagonal braces in the same location. If it has the welded in diagonals then the chassis has been changed which is basically a good thing and it may or may not have the NVH bits - there were a few chassis that made it in to the wild with the bracing but without the NVH.
I'm told that fitting the NVH kit involves welding brackets to the chassis.
I believe Phil Bleazey is doing a kit to convert the rubber mounted bevel boxes to rigid mounts. This might tell you how critical an upgrade the NVH kit is and overall I wouldn't be too worried about it.

The 2012 has a replaced chassis. No idea what year it was replaced but thanks, I will be asking about this. The Dealer says it is a quiet bevel box. I have known the Dealer about 35 years and trust I will get good information. I read Phil Bleasey's writings.
