[quote=osten]Steve Morris giving some details

"Blah...blah blah... I've been here 37 years (and I'm taking my golden garden leave, asap!)....blah...blah blah blah....blah"

Can't expect more than that from him yet. But $44MM in gross 2018 revenue doesn't fund a lot of factory modernization. I suppose to stay relevant and have any chance of success, this was the ticket.

Yeah... because the Brits have a great reputation when it comes to electronics. 😂

No problem with Italian electrics these days and I don't think Lucas became known as the "Prince of Darkness" without reason. At least the Italians know how to make a bevel drive that works and doesn't howl like a banshee. somestick

OK I am a bit biased given that I live a couple of hundred metres from the Moto Guzzi factory smile

Did anyone else notice the super low-profile windscreens on the M3W behind the interviewer in that video?

Moto Guzzi took a massive investment from Piaggio and introduced new California/v7/v9 lines with ride-by-wire, engine modes, etc, which are great bikes, however almost completely soulless. Never seen one in the wild and the local dealer stopped selling them after 6 months. My warranty claims were almost impossible to work through. I am afraid Morgan will follow that route, completely forgetting their true advantage/appeal: analog driving experience in the digital era. The automatic-only plus6, with plastic paddle-shifters, drive modes and ugly BMW gear lever is a very bad sign, IMHO. I cannot see younger buyers wanting it, when you can buy a new BMW M2 with the manual for $50k here. There is no "family-owned, hand-built" charm anymore to forgive all the quality issues/lack of warranty support and no dealers outside LA. Hope I can get my hands on the Roadster before it’s too late.

Good point. I’d expect a £400 option for wooden paddle shifters in the future! And the Classic chassis /non-metrics (the “Whitworths”?) to be built until demand ends....

The plastic paddles can be upgraded for under £200 the gear shift, someone will get somethimg made. As for auto only, I agree its not ideal if you want a manual but I'm afraid it's the way alot of small manufacturers are going these days, Alpine for example, which if you are talking about plastics....however even with the plastics possibly the best "sports" car on the market, I'd still rather pay extra for the Plus 6 though.

I'm pretty sure they said the manual version was coming next. Or did I dream that too ?
