Manual gearbox on it's way as per Car and Driver... There's even pictures of the stick shift version in this article. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a26609430/morgan-plus-six-photos-info/Far as I'm concerned, can coexist perfectly with the 8 speed auto that will appeal to older drivers physically unable/unwilling to operate a clutch and younger ones who don't know how. Win for everyone.

the 8 speed auto that will appeal to older drivers physically unable/unwilling to operate a clutch and younger ones who don't know how. There are many high performance cars that are simply unavailable with a manual transmission - where people can choose auto or manual they do so because they suit the car (and generally have a paddle shift too). I am not sure it's because they're disabled or decrepit! I have owned both and for high performance, paddle shift is better.

Sorry, I'm new here and just learning Morgans, thanks for letting me know. I think it's confused a lot of people! I think Morgan left a picture of one of the 110 Anniversary cars in the Plus Six press pack...

It’s Morgan we are talking about, is it? :-) I sincerely believe that people buy them because they do not go with times and do not cross-market with mass produced performance cars. They loose that and the magic disappears rather quickly...

I doubt if anyone considering a new Morgan would buy one if it drove like a 60/70/80’s trad. Morgan must move with the times and their profits probably won’t pay for meeting current and forthcoming legislation never mind developing new models hence their decision. The new Plus 6 BMW engine is a brand new design not previously used in any BMW prior to 2019. It is only made in Automatic form hence no manual option. I doubt if BMW will ever do a manual. Personally I love my auto with paddles ...........

2019 m240i has a manual transmission option in the US, so definitely available.

I'm pretty sure they said the manual version was coming next. Or did I dream that too ? Top Gear magazine said there's a manual on its way... There won’t be a manual option for the Plus 6, BMW have not paired one with this particular engine. Living in the South East I don’t have an issue with the ZF box with paddles, it suits my motoring life.
